What we do

HomeLight is the first platform to use data and analytics to connect homebuyers and sellers with the best real estate agents in their area. By analyzing tens of millions of transactions we can recommend the best and most relevant real estate agents to the consumer. We launched in November 2012 and we’re growing quickly.

Senior UX/Web Designer

As a Senior UX/Web Designer at HomeLight, you will be involved in every aspect of the product development process, from the conception of new features, collaborating with cross-functional teams, to pushing of pixels just before launch. You will be required to utilize your full range of product design, interaction design, and visual design skills, and you will own a large portion of the HomeLight product.

Responsibilities

Serve as design lead on all web, mobile and responsive projects, conceptualizing and creating wireframes and mockups based on business requirements
Develop and refine brand identity
Deliver Photoshop files for development team, working closely with them to translate visual designs to functioning products
Creating color palettes, style guides, info-graphics, print collateral, etc.
Optimize designs for usability and browser/device compatibility
Support efforts to capture user insights including user testing, and refine designs based on feedback
Support day-to-day requests for visual design assets for use on the website
Follow agile project management methodologies and technologies

Qualifications

Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of training and web design experience required
Minimum 4 years of experience designing outstanding web-based products (preferably large-scale, dynamically-driven sites)
Excellent web visual design, layout and typography skills
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
Experience working in an agile environment with front-end developers to know what is easy or what is difficult to implement and to iterate accordingly
An understanding of current trends and advancements on the web
An appreciation of finely executed typography on the web
Incredible attention to detail
Exceptional interpersonal, collaborative and creative problem solving skills

Bonus Points

Working knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript
Experience in mobile interface design, preferably responsive site design
Well-versed in modern web standards and best practices
