  • Brandy and I connected, but did no business

      Easily solved HOA citation turned into verbal assault by Brandy and her mother Geri. The tenant residing in one of the homes managed by Innovative Real Estate Strategies received an HOA notice of weed growth. Geri Poulter called the tenant and introduced herself as part of the HOA; Geri is not with the HOA but is the mother of Brandy White Elk which was not stated clearly. The tenant took care of the problem and sent pictures as requested. Geri replied that pictures would not suffice even though the tenant stated that the weeds were pulled and sprayed weed killer. From there, Geri called the tenant multiple times and asked for more pictures to which the tenant replied would be sent after work; the tenant sent the pictures that evening. Geri apparently did not get the pictures and called the tenant once again multiple times, but this time left an aggressive voicemail. The tenant called Geri back and stated that this matter has been handled professionally before and would appreciate that Geri would speak to the tenant with respect. During the phone call the tenant made it clear that Geri should speak to individuals with respect and professionalism. Geri tried to interrupt the tenant multiple times, then screamed at and called the tenant a bitch twice. When the tenant hung up the phone call Geri proceeded to call the tenant and text the tenant after the tenant requested to speak to someone else. Geri was told to not contact the tenant, yet Geri still texted the tenant and called the tenant disrespectful. This unprofessional behavior was then reported to the owner of the company Brandy. When Brandy called the tenant back Brandy stated that she laughed at the email sent to her because Geri is her mother and said that the tenant was being aggressive. Brandy also stated that she listened to the phone call. However the tenant was not made aware that the conversation was being recorded and did not consent. Brandy then said that her mother did not call the tenant "a bitch," but that her mother stated the tenant "was being bitchy." When the tenant brought up that the landlord of the property was made aware of the situation, Brandy stated that the tenant's landlord worked for her. This is also false information since Brandy's company was hired by the tenant's landlord to handle her property. The tenant has dealt with HOA matters with Innovative Real Estate Strategies in the past and these interactions have been professional. The tenant is dumbfounded by the lack of professionalism especially when the tenant has taken care of the property and paid rent on time for two and half years even through a global pandemic that left one of the tenants unemployed. Brandy is clearly operating with her emotions and condones unprofessional behavior simply because it is her mother.
