Ten years ago, with my younger son Ryan, I made the move from Laguna Beach, California to Santa Cruz County. We had fallen in love with the area while visiting my older son, Kasey, who was attending UCSC. Not for one moment have I regretted the move. I am continually in awe of the incredible natural beauty that we enjoy here, the bright, friendly people who inhabit the area, and the wide range of cultural, recreational and educational opportunities that exist here. Like many real estate professionals, I became involved in real estate after successful careers in other fields. I put a teaching career on hold to address two other passions in my life – the birth of my first child, Kasey, and the opening of Mage Wind, a unique retail store in Laguna Beach, California, that carried furniture, home accessories, art and gifts.
