A 'Sale' and a 'Purchase: General: Nearly three years ago, in May of 2012, my wife and I purchased a new Del Oro subdivision home in Paso Robles through Heather Roda, owner/agent of Platinum Properties.The purchase price of the new home was well below asking and also included several improvement perks. This purchase was made possible by Heather personally being responsible for selling our Santa Rita Road home in Templeton in 4 days. Details: Regarding our Del Oro subdivision, Paso Robles home purchase, we had initially contacted Heather Roda, our realtor/friend, to ask if she could help our son and daughter-in-law find a rental in the Paso Robles area. Well within a day or two, she called and said, "As I was searching out a rental for your 'kids', as you know you had previously asked me to keep my eye open for you and to let you know if the right house for sale came on the market. Well, I believe I've found that house for you." She took us out to Del Oro subdivision off of Golden Hill Road and showed us a three bedroom house that was 90% finished. We loved it, and the neighborhood! It was near perfect although we wanted to add some sidewalks, a back patio, select specific carpet and floor tile. Heather negotiated on our behalf with the seller of the property and we benefited by receiving all the extras we requested plus she was able to amazingly reduce the price to $399,000! We were thrilled. As the purchase of the Paso Robles home was in progress, she successfully marketed and sold our Templeton home in 4 days. She also tackled several trying issues in following through with the sale of that home. Regarding the Paso Robles home purchase, she listened to our needs/hopes, and then she negotiated a purchase of the Paso Robles home for $10,000 below asking price. At the same time she assisted us by further working with the sellers and we were able to add several thousands of dollars of improvements to our new home while still keeping the cost below $400,000. Now just short of three years later, (February 2015) we guestimate the market price of our home is approximately $500,000 to $525,000, (Heather has been a family friend for over 20 years when she worked with one of our teenage daughters. She has also successfully helped our Son and Daughter-in-Law buy a home for a bargain in Paso Robles.)[ link omitted ]

Five stars is not enough for the hard work that she did in making our home purchase possible! Let's just say there were some problems with the seller fixing things that they agreed to fix. But Heatherstood her ground and fought for us every step of the way! We could not have gotten through this without Heather!
