Whew. Six months later, I still have these moments where I reflect on what an amazing realtor Jill is and how eternally grateful we are. Because it's never just a "house" right?? It's always so much more. Our day-to-day life has completely changed because Jill was able to pull us through. Our transactions, both of them, NEVER would have happened without her. Jill truly wants what is best for your family. She's not about the easy sale that may not be the right sale for her clients. It's incredibly rare to find this quality as your advocate in real estate where the more money spent with the least amount of effort is the goal. She is tirelessly patient, honest and always available. She will be your best offense and defense but plays by the rules, therefore garnering much respect in the industry. Her intuitive, negotiating genius when crisis occurs is bar none. During the most delicate negotiations, she was able to keep the door open and ball rolling. . Jill Carrigan is fantastic. She was recommended to us by friends who sold their Claremont Hills home. They couldn't say enough nice things about Jill and the process. What stuck out to me when we first met was her professionalism, knowledge, confidence and kindness. I immediately sensed a great energy that seemed like some fused combination of determination and grace. I felt immediately that we would work well together. Jill had little time to help us finalize the prep of our home before listing. She jumped in and took all of the stress and inconvenience out of it. She asked for a set of keys and met with all of the contractors, stagers, painters and handy men on behalf keeping the project on track. Jill's stepping in allowed us to stay at work and focus on the details associated with the new home we had just purchased. At the times that we didn't occupy the house during marketing, Jill came over, watered the plants and took care of my two cats. Jill really knew the things to do to make the marketing time more comfortable. The sale was not without challenge. It's in the issues where you see the strengths of your agent. Out of nowhere we had a structural engineer do a flip flop versus his prior report creating less than ideal disclosures and a lot of stress. Additionally and unexpectently our house went on the market with 6 other comparable homes. This wasn't expected. Things were stressful for at least a week digesting these issues and their implications. Through that entire time Jill was calm, resourceful and extremely helpful. She accessed peers and experts to help us better determine our next move. She provided her recommendation - but did not force it down on us. She gave alternatives. Her recommendation was right on. We sold with multiple offers. Jill followed it all of the way through to the end. Jill is meticulous with detail and expert communicator and a strong negotiator. She is also a warm person who really wants the best for her clients, understanding how important "home" is to us all. Jill is outstanding! She helped us sell our house in Montclair and buy our dream home in another part of the Oakland Hills. She guided us through and coordinated the entire process and was always available to answer questions and follow up on everything in a very timely fashion. Jill Carrigan at Grubb Co., has represented us during three transactions (in the Redwood Hts neighborhood of Oakland, and in Piedmont), and I can't say enough good things about her. We met a few realtors before choosing Jill and I am beyond thankful we went with her. To put it lightly she made our dreams come true!
