John Goodman

My husband and I, working with a buyers agent, toured one of John Goodman’s listings. We liked the home very much, and decided to make an offer. What happened next was both disappointing, and off putting. Our offer was based on recent comps, and updates made by the current owners, less than asking, but fair. Instead of simply declining, or countering, Mr. Goodman employed tactics designed to intimidate our agent, suggest that we were low-balling the seller, and in fact we’re not believable. There would always be a sudden “second showing” or he was expecting another offer, and then send us a counter offer, before said “expected offer” was due, which made no sense other than it never existed in the first place. Funny thing is, we changed our mind about the place, and he actually came around to what we originally offered. I will be sure he is not the listing agent of the next place I consider.

This fellow showed my home. Left derogatory comments on the the My Home site that were offensive and frankly silly. I would never use him nor let him show my home again
