- 5 DAYS- I listed my property with another realtor 6 months ago. I kept lowering my price, but there was just no interest. Finally after the contract expired and six months of lost rent, my wife let me know about Jose Luiz. He had just sold the house two doors down from me, and my wife showed me the advertisement for that property. The photos were amazing, the house was beautiful, everything was presented professionally and with an extreme attention to every detail. We compared that listing to what we had from my prior realtor,and there was no comparison. We called Jose Luiz immediately.The first thing he told us was he would consider being our realtor if we would agree to make some changes to the property. A new paint job, and other small changes here and there were needed. I agreed with Jose Luiz's request and contracted him to sell my property. I hired a painter and Jose Luiz gave them the detailed instructions on colors and specifics. The other changes were made as well. Jose Luiz hired a professional photographer to come and photograph my condo during the day and again at night for an amazing set of photographs. They made my home look beautiful.On the fifth day after we signed the contract with him, he called me to let me know he had sold our property. I of course asked him what took him so long...If you or anyone you know is selling a property in the Oxnard area, I highly recommend Jose Luiz Morales. If he tells you that changes are needed, listen to him. He is an expert in his business. Other realtors can definitely learn from him.

***VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE ON VA HOME LOAN** Morales Group, Marisol Mendoza and her brother, Jose Luis Morales made my first time home buyer experience a wonderful and a smooth process. They both showed me a few property listing in different areas to help me decide the place and type of property that would work for me best. Marisol was very proactive and thorough in making sure that I was in compliance with VA HOME LOAN. In addition, Marisol made sure to provid me all informations prior to making any offer (i.e comps, repair history). I contracted with Jose for the sale of my mothers house that is in probate. Working with Jose and his staff has been a seamless experience. The sale of our property in Camarillo presented unique challenges as it was part of an estate trust for which I am executor. The fact that I live in Northern California exacerbated the situation even more. I would not have a lot of time or proximity to the property to fully stay on top of the sale. I felt our situation required an experienced realtor, who we could fully trust, who would be knowledgable to deal with the complexities of the trust sale, and who would be decisive, and take charge. With Jose Morales, we had all of that and more.We selected Jose among three realtors that we interviewed. He came to our interview fully prepared with local comps and with ideas on how to show, price, and market our listing. Jose was fully professional and knowledgable, yet had the patience to understand our special situation and listen to our concerns and sensitivities.After selecting Jose to represent us, we had a single, very focused meeting to wrap up details on listing price and how the property would be shown and marketed. This review is from the perspective of tenants--another part of the equation when buying or selling a house. We were in the position of a change of ownership and landlords when working with the Morales group. We had at least 20 touch points with Jose Luiz Morales and his group. Unfortunately, they do not take great care with all parties involved in the transition of house ownership. Their point-people as far as realtors and assistants go were often 1) confused 2) late 3) trying to cover up their mistakes. The Morales group made no effort to ensure a smooth transition for the tenants between landlords, which caused even more confusion and stress. Furthermore, there was no "thank you" from the Morales group for all of our cooperation with the sale after countless showings. We may be contacting a lawyer if things get much worse, but in the mean time, we'll be sure to let all the neighbors know of our negative experience. To earn 5 stars on Yelp, you need to be outstanding from front to back, top to bottom, and this group most certainly is not.
