I wanted to take a minute to tell you what a fantastic experience both Hugh and I had buying our house in West Caldwell, and it was all because you were our realtor. This was no easy task! The market was tight - there were not a lot of homes out there that met our needs. And, you knew that because before you even sent us one listing or took us on one road trip to look at a property, you took the time to listen to what we were looking for. You LISTENED. And, unlike what we have seen so many times on HGTV, you did not take us to see properties that we out of our price range. You knew our budget and you showed us homes that we in our budget. Once we were in a home, this is where your next level of your talent really started to shine. You see things that no one else sees. You do not let dazzle distract you from the practical side of things. And, you do not let the things that can be fixed distract from what actually meets our needs. You know the to pros and cons of the neighborhoods we explored, and when you were not sure of something, you were honest and told us that. And, then in less than 12 hours, you would have an answer to any questions we had. What more could we ask for? We lost a house to another bidder and when it looked like we might have another shot at the house, you showed us the true meaning of the word perseverance. You talked me "off the ledge" when I was tempted to settle for the wrong house. You were literally available 24-7 because when I texted you at 10:00 pm, you called me instead of responding with a simple text because you knew I was feeling desperate and worried. This is above and beyond the call of duty but it made the world of difference to me, and to my husband, who was handling the stress of not being able to find a house with less than grace than I was! Now comes your REAL talent - negotiation when we found the house. We never, EVER would have won this house without you because you knew exactly how to handle going into a six-bidder contest. This was literally the only house that met our needs, in our desired neighborhood. We wanted it, and you made sure we got it without actually paying the highest bidding price. We don't know how you did it, but we believe that it was your experience, your reputation and your leave-no-stone-unturned dedication to your clients that won us that house. You didn't stop working for us. Your continued supporting in helping us through the inspection stage, through negotiating the repairs, straight on through the closing and move-in process was unfaltering. Specifically, when we hit an issue during the final inspection, it was you who really dug in and insisted that the problem be resolved before we close. I suspect another realtor might not do that - another realtor might have let it slide. But, you are always looking out for us and for what is right! My husband and I are forever grateful to you because that seller was wearing us down at a point where we were both emotionally at our wits end - and had you not stepped in, that mess would have cost us thousands! I can also tell anyone that Kathi has a guy/gal for everything! We needed a mover. We needed someone to clean the house before we moved in, and you got us someone. We needed a plumber. An electrician. Your never ending list of connections to reliable, experienced, affordable people has been a literally life-saver to us because we moved outside our area and lost touch with all our "people". I have already told everyone and anyone - if you are looking to sell your home, or if you are looking to buy, you absolutely must call Kathi Masters. There is not one single thing I would change about her, about her husband/partner Rick, or about how they run their business. They are the masters of real estate! You will not regret using them for your real estate needs.
