I am an experienced executive of the retail automobile industry and the real estate sales industry. My experience and skills include finance, marketing, merchandising, advertising, sales management and general management. I am an original native of Atlanta, Ga., but have resided on Hilton Head Island, S.C. since 1989. After attending Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina, I was employed by General Motors Acceptance Corporation (GMAC) in Atlanta, Ga. Early training included collections and audit work. In 1972 I was recruited into the retail automobile business as one of the first ever finance and insurance managers in the state of Georgia. My success in this capacity was rewarded by promotion into retail sales management and was followed by my first dealership as a partner in Larry Savage Chevrolet in Huntsville, Alabama with sales exceeding $50,000,000.00 annually made ...
