Mike and his team were incredible when he sold our Co-op. From the initial consultation and market analysis, to the day of the closing for way over our asking price we couldn't have had a better experience. Mike has been in business for a long time and his experience shows. He knew exactly how and when to list our apartment and even how best to stage our place using our own furniture to show it in its best light. His photographer and his other teams members were all consummate professionals. The day of the open house, we had 15 people look and received four offers! After we received the offers, Mike and his team helped us evaluate and negotiate with the potential buyers to help us pick the best offer, which is not necessarily the highest. The buyer we chose passed the board approval easily and we were able to close very quickly. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better transaction. Mike and his team, especially Josephine in the office treated me like I was their only client and kept me in the loop every step of the way. I would absolutely recommend Mike and his team to anybody looking to buy or sell property in and around New York City.

I needed a full service real estate team who knows the market, would work with me to solve problems and get the property sold at a fair price (knowing that it is a complex property since it is an office on a special lot in a residential area). When I took over responsibilities for selling the property I interviewed a number of local agents, and Mike immediately stood out as different. He clearly knows the Brooklyn market, has the experience to figure out what to do in each situation and was willing to just be honest with me. As a test, I challenged him to help me get property insurance, something I was unable to do for over a year due to some specific issues; even knowing people in the insurance business wasn't helping me. I told him it was a condition for hiring him on our first call, and he immediately pulled in an insurance agent to that call and got them to give me a quote that day. I had insurance the next day which was a huge relief. That was not the only time his help was invaluable. During a visit to the property (I live out of state) I ran into an emergency where I needed immediate help right before I was leaving to fly home. He got a hold of his team and within twenty minutes, someone showed up onsite on a Saturday to solve my problem. I have very high expectations when I hire someone, and Mike and his team exceeded all of them. The job he did to find a buyer, guide me through the negotiation and make sure the deal kept moving (as the buyer had some work to find the right financing) was tremendous. To be quite honest, I can't think of a single reason why someone would pick a different real estate agent for an area he covers. The job was done that well.

However, after the experience I had with John Amaturo, I felt compelled to do this review for the first time. John helped my fiance' and myself sell our old place, and then purchase our new apt. He brought experience, professionalism, and a personal aspect to sales that is definitely a "Throw Back". He does not just want to make a sale in a rush and/or move on, he wanted us to be happy. He wants to get to know you, understand you, explain things and listen, which does not happen anymore sadly. This is one of the most personal experiences people go through in thier lives, and we know because we had to ditch our first realtor who was a sales robot. He was there every step of the way and we were made to feel as if he was working with us and apart of our family. He was available all hours of the day and night..and my fiance' can talk you to death! This whole process took over a year (sale and purchase) and yet it did not feel that way because he was patient, reassuring, answering all questions and listening to who we were, what we wanted and finally executing on our conversations. What kind of sales person is this that spends a hour in a coffee shop...after a showing...to get to know you better so he can find you the new place of your dreams!
