My wife and I found ourselves in the position of selling a house in Tampa. This had been her familys home. We grew up in Tampa and moved halfway across the country about 30 years ago. We wrestled with several decisions about selling the house.A family member recommended Michael because he helped her with real estate several years ago. In early 2021, we called Michael to discuss our options. Michael explained what the market was like in Tampa, especially in Seminole Heights where this house is located. He gave us some insight as to what buyers want. We considered the alternatives and decided to do a light renovation on the house. We stayed in Tampa over the summer to manage things. There was a lot of work to be done, including the removal of 80 years of furniture, antiques, photographs and memories. The initial plan was to clean, paint and replace carpet. The cleaning and painting were quickly done but the floors were the turning point when we removed the carpet and found wonderful oak and pine wood flooring throughout the house. The short story is that one renovation item led to another, not unlike a line of dominoes. We never intended to do as much work as we ultimately did. This renovation did take on a life of its own. While we did not replace everything, we replaced the right things. Some of work was not easy to do, but it was the right thing to do.Michael visited the house frequently and was always there with advice, guidance, and encouragement. Michael had the vision and kept us on the right track to achieve what was needed. In the end, the result was heart-warming and this house again feels like a home. Working with Michael was a great experience and he is the finest realtor I ever met.
