Born and raised in California, Monica graduated from the University of California, Davis earning degrees in psychology, sociology, and political science. Her entrepreneurial spirit began in her early teens when she opened up her first brokerage account and became an investor. After graduating, Monica knew she didn't want to work for anyone else and that she had a distinct ability to sell. She formed a company and with hard work and sheer tenacity she developed a successful portfolio of businesses ranging from restaurant franchise ownership, real estate and stock holdings.
