Our home was in Drew Valley and throughout many years of necessary updates it was painstakingly maintained by me and my wife as a mid-century modern design. Gone was the tar and gravel roof, but remained was the low slope and large overhanging eaves. Gone were the single pane glass windows, replaced with awning windows that occupied the same position as the architect intended back in 1958, plus a lot more in the way of restoration and renovation.My home was listed with another realtor for nearly three months with no offers despite many showings, but again, no offers, not even a low offer. I sought out an independent appraisal and my numbers were in line with the market, so needless to say, my wife and I were frustrated.I met Nicholas who was assisting with another property I owned in the area, and I also noticed he represented a buyer on a home that closed just a few doors down from me (a renovation). I expressed my dissatisfaction with my current listing agent, and brokerage for that matter, so I entertained the idea of having Nicholas and his team step in.Upon meeting Nicholas and seeing his overwhelmingly positive reaction when touring my home for the first time, I knew my wife and I found a professional realtor that could make things happen for us and he did.Just nine days into Nicholas listing, our house went under contract. Count them, nine days. Our listing price with Nicholas was a businesslike reduction from our original listing, but not off the chart, and again, the previous agent brought no offers in whatsoever.So, is there a difference in listing agents, You Bet Cha.
