He is aware of building codes and will tell you if he see's aspects of the home that are not up to those codes. My fianc and I highly recommend Rob to help with buying a home. Rob was amazing! Every step of the way he was always honest with us. This being the first house we've sold we didn't really know what to expect from the process, but Rob was there with us the whole way to figure everything out and to explain things to us that we didn't fully understand. He was patient with us, and he was available for calls any time of the day (he even took a panicked call from me at 10pm on a weeknight after we had an issue during a showing and was able to alleviate our concerns). My wife and I can not recommend Rob enough! Rob is extremely responsive, knowledgeable, experienced, and has phenomenal tactics to help you purchase the home that works for your family (without spending more than you have to). This spring, he helped us purchase a house in the Grand Rapids area, which is currently one of the hottest markets in the US. When most houses are going well above asking price (some more than 30K above asking), we ended up getting a house for only 2K over asking. Rob is always willing to give you his professional opinion, but he also does not pressure you to agree with him. If you are looking for a realtor in the Grand Rapids market, Rob is as good as they get. If myself or my family ever needs the services of a realtor in GR, I will be sending them to Rob.
