We used Sal to sell our home in W. Irondequoit and were very pleased with his professionalism, experience, responsiveness and persistence. We had the house listed on and off for over a year. It wasn't easy, for any of us, but it wasn't due to lack of effort on Sal's part. He encouraged us to stayed positive during a time when there were SO many houses on the market in our area, in the same price range and not a lot of movement. Despite the lack of activity, Sal would keep in contact with us regularly, even when there wasn't "news" to report. This made us feel good, because we knew he cared about the sale of our home, even when there wasn't a lot of activity. That's one of the best parts of working with Sal - we always felt like we were important to him. He cared about our situation and empathized with our frustration when things weren't coming together as fast as we all wanted them to. This is important because selling and buying a home can be an emotional process - it was for us. You need someone that understands both the business and personal side of the deal. Sal became our friend through the process - in fact, there were times when I felt like I talked to Sal more than my husband. Bottom line - He makes time for his clients. He makes them feel important. He will bend over backwards to ensure that you are treated fairly and that you get the service you deserve. Throughout the process Sal offered more than positive talk - he offered different ideas to us to help us sell. Everything from staging, home improvement, competitive pricing, renting and more. And because Sal has been in the biz a long time, he knows a lot of people. He put us in touch with everyone from painters, cleaners, window repair, handymen etc. Sal also helped us BUY our next home - and did an excellent job there too. And believe me, I'm not an "easy" customer. He made the process enjoyable, was VERY accommodating, responsive and a great negotiator. I think I've mentioned responsiveness a couple times - and let me tell you, this should not be under-rated. i can't tell you how annoying it is to call someone and not have them return your call right away - especially in business. In fact we worked with people on the sale and purchase of our home who didn't share my respect for "getting back/following up" -- and this made me appreciate Sal's responsiveness all the more. Sal will always call you back and follow up with you or other people in your behalf in a timely manner.Buying and selling a home is a big deal and a very personal experience. You want to find a person who will represent you well and make you feel comfortable and safe and have the process go as smooth as possible. You know the saying, "if you want something done right, do it yourself"? Well I am a complete believer of this, but in the case of the sale and purchase of our home i just couldn't do it myself. But I believe that Sal was the next best thing.I couldn't have had a more positive experience. And believe me, although you don't know me, I am one of the pickiest, most difficult people to please (ask my husband) -- so when i say Sal did a great job, you should know the context from which that comment is coming from. If you choose to work with Sal you'll be in good hands. Really.
