Most of your home\u2019s exterior walls will be load-bearing.<\/li>\n<li>Look for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mrhandyman.com\/blog\/2019\/october\/how-to-tell-if-a-wall-is-load-bearing\/\">load-bearing beams<\/a> in the ceiling. If the wall you want to remove isn\u2019t below one of these beams, it\u2019s much less likely to be a load-bearing wall.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Unless you\u2019re a structural engineer, you\u2019ll want to consult with a professional to confirm the wall you\u2019re removing is indeed non-load-bearing.
