What\u2019s the average time to sell a house in Florida?<\/h2>\n

In Florida, homes typically spend about 73 days on the market from the time they\u2019re listed to when an offer is accepted. When you factor in the additional 43 days it usually takes to close the loan<\/a>, the whole process comes out to around 116 days, or about four months from start to finish.<\/p>\n

However, top Florida real estate agent MaryAnn Spearman<\/a>, who works with nearly 70% more single-family homes than the average agent in her Clearwater market<\/a>, says there\u2019s a key factor that controls the clock.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt all depends on pricing. If it\u2019s priced correctly, it’s going to sell sooner,\u201d Spearman explains. \u201cOn average, the days on market (DOM) in our county is around 40 days. In other areas of the state, like on the Orlando side, they can take a little bit longer, somewhere around 56 days on market.
