According to Greulich, the San Antonio market is seeing more available inventory, and buyers are approaching their home search with greater selectivity.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe market has definitely shifted, and we’re seeing more balance, maybe even a slight lean toward a buyer\u2019s market in certain areas,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n

Properties in San Antonio usually sell within about 75 days<\/a> of being listed. In real estate terminology, this timeframe is called days on market<\/a> (DOM), which measures the period from when a home is listed to when a contract is signed. For context, the average DOM nationwide currently stands at 53 days<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The median price of a home in San Antonio is approximately $324,000, a 4% increase from the previous year.<\/p>\n

\u201cInterest rates are still a factor, and many buyers are being more selective,\u201d says Greulich. \u201cInventory isn\u2019t tight anymore, so sellers have to be sharp with pricing and presentation.\u201d<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re prioritizing speed, the best time to sell a house in San Antonio begins in April.<\/p>\n

Since it usually takes 75 days on average to locate a buyer, plus approximately 40 days<\/a> for the buyer to close their loan, you might want to list your property a couple of months before the prime selling season.<\/p>\n

\u201cSpring to early summer is still your best bet. March through June tends to bring out the most serious buyers, especially families trying to move before the next school year,\u201d says Greulich.<\/p>\n
