What is a move-in-ready home?<\/h2>\n

At its core, a move-in-ready home is one that allows a buyer to move in without needing to make immediate repairs or updates. These houses are also referred to as turnkey homes<\/a>, implying that the new owner can simply “turn the key” and move in.<\/p>\n

But for today\u2019s buyers, the bar often goes beyond simple functionality; it\u2019s about peace of mind.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a feeling that all the major parts of the house \u2014 the furnace, water heater, roof \u2014 and all other major components are going to be good for four, five, or six years down the road,\u201d explains Sean Keene<\/a>, a top-performing listing agent in Salem, Oregon.<\/p>\n
