I was born and raised in Maryland, and still call it home today. I love everything the DC metro area has to offer - from city life, to county life, to shore life, and everything in between! I married my best friend in 2013 and we have two beautiful boys and one sweet fur baby. In addition to being a full time REALTOR®, wife, mom, and self-proclaimed budget queen, I also am a part-time consultant. After I got married, I decided to open a wedding planning business that consisted of planning weddings as well as designing and printing paper products. As much as I loved the work and the years of amazing weddings and wonderful couples, I decided I needed to find a career that offered more opportunity for growth. After going through the process of selling our first home and buying our second, doing some research, and having long discussions with my husband, I decided I could use my passion for helping people make their dreams come true and my love of interior design to begin a career in Real Estate... and Amanda Calhoun Homes was born!

We were relocating from Massachusetts to Maryland with our high school age son. Amanda helped us with every aspect of the move, from choosing a community to finding a school with a hockey team for our son. She quickly learned what we were looking for in a home, arranged tours when I would fly in for the weekend to look at houses and helped us to negotiate a deal on the home we eventually purchased. Relocating more than 500 miles is stressful and she was amazing to work with!
