Barbara Schmal was the listing agent for my elderly fathers Condominium in Vista Verde West, in St Petersburg, FL. We were excited when Barbara sold the condo in 30 days, with settlement on Nov 18, but that meant my father needed to move out in 2 weeks. We were unable to come down to assist with the move in that time frame because I live 1000 miles away in Maryland and my sister is in Ohio. Thats when Barbara stepped in.Barbara knew my father was partially deaf but quickly learned that he was also in the beginning stages of dementia and can be very difficult to deal with. Barbara was with him the entire time with a cheerful disposition, walking my father through all of the steps leading up to the move. She went above and beyond, spending 12 hours on moving day, helping my dad pack up his things. She worked with the movers and also located and booked a storage unit for my fathers furniture. In addition, she set up the settlement at the home of a close friend he is staying with, so that my father would not be inconvenienced. My family and I really appreciate all of her hard work and compassion and would recommend her to all of my family or friends who may decide to move to the Clearwater/St Pete area. The entire process was exciting. At the same time very emotional an overwhelming. Barbara understood that from the beginning! She rode the roller coaster with us. She was extremely helpful. She was continually communicating with us and explaining everything as we went along. We were moving from Michigan to Florida.
