After having purchased and sold six different properties over the past few decades, I have become used to how the process works, I thought. I was new to Fort Worth and Barbara was very patient and helpful for my house purchase. Since she has been in real estate in the area for a long time, she was the right type of agent for me. Barbara was able to identify several different search areas based on my requirements. We made offers on several houses when the market was still hot and competition was high. Although we didn’t win on the first two places, we were at the top of the list. The only reason we lost out was because I wasn’t willing to overbid as much as the next buyer. During the process, Barbara was very quick to create the offer to ensure we were able to meet short deadlines. Often, she would be processing at times I would expect her to be off-of the clock, but it was in our advantage to push through for the best possible outcome. What I didn’t realize was how important it was for the selling agent and the buying agent to both be professional and responsive to ensuring all the tasks are completed to ensure the sale goes through. An agent who is inexperienced or slow on responding can make the sale fall through. Barbara made sure she did everything possible to make the best out of all attempted purchases. In the end, of the three properties attempted, the best of the three houses was purchased. I’m glad I didn’t over-bid on the first two houses. After finalizing the purchase, a comment from the seller’s agent came through on how impressed he was on Barbara’s ability to quickly respond to any situation and ensure the transaction was executed. I can only believe that when there are multiple offers that are close enough to be considered, a seller’s agent will recommend to the seller an offer from a buyer’s agent that is the most professional and able to help ensure the transaction is completed.
