More about Brian Roslawski

Brian Roslawski became interested in real estate early. Not long after completing studies in finance at UW-Milwaukee, he bought a three-family property to live in and generate income. He was hooked. He got licensed and selling real estate became his first full-time job. After seven years in the business, he now specializes in foreclosures and said he has become one of the go-to agents for banks and other lenders who want to liquidate troubled properties. Below is an edited interview. Tell me how you got involved with real estate. About seven years ago, I purchased my first property, which was a three-family in South Milwaukee as a place to live. I wasn’t a realtor yet, just looking for my first purchase. That’s what sparked my interest in real estate and decided to go out and get licensed. Ever since then I’ve been buying and selling for myself, buying and selling for other people. What is it you enjoy about real estate? I love everything about real estate. I like to see pe

  • Brian helped me buy a home

This is not the first house my family has purchased through Brian, which should tell you something. Brian is very knowledgeable, patient, and will always find time for you.

    • Brian helped me buy a home

He did very little for me other than set up showings and take me to look at properties. I was from out of town/state so I was looking for him to propose to me properties he thought I should see in areas that fit my needs and interests. Brian did not come up with any places that he wanted me to see, instead he relied on me to provide him with houses I wanted to see that I found on Zillow. That was it, I sent him a list of properties I had found and asked him to set up showings. I did ask him to include homes he thought were good values and in areas he thought I should look. He did not once come up with a home that he wanted me to see, I thought that was weird and lazy. But I know/knew he as a busy broker with many clients. He did behave and come across in a professional manner and got me in to see all the homes I wanted to see that had not gone under contract before our showing date, but that is about it. I met with him on three different occasions over a 45 day period. Brian did not offer any thoughts on whether he thought something was over priced, or a potential money pit. I did sign an exclusive Buyers Representative Contract, so I thought that would free him to speak freely. The person/company he recommended as a home inspector (in hindsight) proved to be a very poor home inspector that missed a number of HUGE plumbing issues that were not to code and should have been easily seen in the basement mechanical room that were discovered within seconds of a plumber seeing them during the installation of a sump pump. This oversight by his home inspector cost me a large amount to put things "right." I believe the inspector he suggested was an expert in electrical areas but was clueless regarding structural construction and plumbing. I would not recommend Brian Roslawski after my experience to anyone looking for a "Buyers Broker" to help steer them through a purchase of a home or condo if they are looking for help and guidance. If you just need someone to see the property, fill out the offer and handle the legal aspects through closing then Brian would do that just fine.

      • I would like to start out by saying that not only do I recommend Brian to you reading this review, I have already recommended him to all my family and friends searching for a home or currently trying to sell.We met him showing a house that someone else in his group was selling. At the start, he was an utmost professional. Listening to our multiple requests and specifications for our future home. He patiently showed us multiple properties throughout the area. My wife an I were thoroughly impressed by his knowledge concerning home conditions and the quality of repairs we ran across in our search. Never in this process I felt like he was trying sell to us, but rather he helped us find our dream home. We could not be happier with Brian and I have no reservation in recommending him to everyone searching for a home.

      • My wife and I were extremely fortunate to work with Brian as we searched for and eventually purchased our first house. With no experience in home-buying, we leaned heavily on Brian's expertise to help guide us as we looked at houses and as we worked through the process of closing on our home.During the process of searching for homes, we found Brian to be particularly helpful in identifying potential issues with each house and what potential remedies and costs may be associated with them. He was very receptive to the concerns and ambitions we had for each home, and helped provide insight into how they might be resolved. At no point during the numerous trips he made to look at houses with us, did he put any pressure on us to put in an offer. When we finally found a home that we were interested in, however, he quickly dropped what he was doing to help us get the offer in. Throughout the process, he continued to guide us and helped make the process surprisingly pain-free. We would definitely recommend Brian to others who are looking to buy a home.

      • Brian has an eye for detail. Immediately upon walking into a house, he notices things that the average person or realtor wouldn't pay attention to. I think this is because he investigates the property as if he, himself were going to purchase it (which is very reassuring as the potential buyer looking for a place that will be called your home). Brian also knows the neighborhoods very well and can tell you off the top of his head what's around the area and will give you the scoop whether it's good or bad. He listens and asks questions that helped us narrow down what we want, which also helped decrease the stress that comes with looking for a house. We could tell that this is Brian's passion... to find the right place for his clients. I have already recommended him to friends and family and will continue to do so.

      • Brian was absolutely wonderful. He responded to my emails immediately and made sure we were able to look at homes we were interested in right away. On top of that, he worked very hard to negotiate with the selling realtor once we did put in an offer on a house, and made sure it all went smoothly.

      • I have worked with Brian for 10+ years and he helped me purchase, rent and later sell a townhouse in Shorewood, Wisconsin. His hard work and negotiation skills helped me get a good deal on the purchase and maximize the sale price. I would highly recommend Brian and will be using him in the future for all my real estate transactions.
