Charles Bowman

My wife and I have had our eyes on a house that was for sale in the Ellet/Springfield area. We went and looked on the 9th and the 11th of April. My realtor texted the selling agent (Charles himself- a 50 year veteran in the real estate game!) on the 11th stating that we would be making an offer the next day (12th) and that he would be calling him to go over a couple of things in the offer. Charles responded "No problem". When my agent reached out the following day to confirm the time of the call, Charles responded that "it was too late as last night was owner occupant bid deadline". My realtor tried to follow up as to why a deadline was not mentioned nor posted anywhere, but he stopped responding. Nowhere during their text messages was a deadline conveyed, nor noted on any of the listings, including the "official" MLS listing. For someone who claims to have 40 years of real estate experience, you would think they would be smarter than to not only lie to another realtor, but to also leave very obvious proof of it. I am not sure the reason or why Charles decided to do this, as we have never met this man and my realtor had no prior history working with Charles. My wife and I are just crushed, and would have met the deadline had we known about it, but Charles decided to withhold that information for no apparent reason. My agent is absolutely baffled, as this is something that is very easy to mention. Imagine what other shady things he has hidden from his past clients and other realtors? For your own good, please, do not use Charles Bowman or anyone at Charles Real Estate. You will either be given false information and blatantly lied to.
