KUDOS FOR COLLEEN! Relocating is overwhelming but the reality of the process can be an exhausting and frustrating whirlwind of excitement, frustration, aggravation and exhaustion. Luckily, we had Colleen Walo, who now heads up the Preferred Realty team, to calm the storm of our recent move. When my husband was offered a terrific job out of state we had only twelve weeks before he was to begin work. A friend of a friend recommended Colleen and within a few hours of emailing her, I received a wonderfully informative and welcoming reply offering her services to us. Colleen started with finding out about our life style, what type of homes we preferred, what kind of space we wanted, what our commute needs were and then she guided me through the process of researching and finally house hunting in our new south shore target area. As my husband was focused on selling our Maryland home, I made the two house hunting trips along and Colleen was not just a great professional adviser but she was an unbiased sounding board as well. Colleen made time to show me multiple properties over the few days I was in town and managed the schedule brilliantly. During my two visits she gave me a wonderful introduction to the beautiful south shore which proved to be extremely helpful once we were moved in and needed to find our way around. In addition, during both trips Colleen was without fail professional, patient, objective and fun to be with! She even went above and beyond and took me to her own home to take out a very nasty wood splinter I got stuck in my hand during one of the home visits! Colleen had our back throughout the inspection process and right on to closing and remains a dear first friend and trusted ally in our new home state.
