Craig is a great agent that worked his hardest to stick with us a find the right home for us. We looked at an extended list of homes in many different areas and Craig went above and beyond to accommodate our search. After searching for months and nearly closing on a completely different hkme than the one we purchased, Craig was positive and helpful in continuing our search. We were told that we weren't going to close due to the back deck being two inches too high and unsafe so he offered a compromise to the bank that he board up the door that accesses the deck. They agreed and he (while we were at work) went to home depot, got the wood, and drove up to the property to board up the door all without even being asked to. He just did it! So awesome! Relatable, Hard Working, Smart, Candid, I could go on with words to describe Craig. Craig is unique. I haven't worked with realtors before because we we're first time buyers. What I liked about Craig is that he wasn't trying to sell us a house. Which is interesting from what you see on TV and hear from friends. I don't want to be sold a house because I wouldn't be talking to you if I didn't want a house. Craig has a unique approach I think. He sets us up with a query to find houses (some not even on zillow) and we cherry pick which ones we want to see. We go see the house and he helps us pick it apart. I'm looking at a house because I thought I liked it. My approach is to find reasons not to buy it. We bounced from new houses to old houses to houses that were way overpriced to houses that needed a lot of work to houses that were a hundred years (we put an offer on this more about that) old to houses fairly far away from work (we put an offer on this too). The first house we looked at was in Saco. Beautifully redone cape cod style house. We put an offer in and went through the financing stuff. Inspection was great for a house that was a hundred years old. New roof, new addition added seamlessly. However, the appraiser though the house wasn't of quality like the others and valued the house 40k short. This was simply not true and the guy shouldn't be a damn appraiser as far as I'm concerned. La vie, that house fell through and we were crushed. We loved the house and the location. We were beat so I asked Craig to just show us other houses because I wanted to get my mind off it. We saw three or four other house and just had a great day picking them apart because they were ridiculous. Craig comes with insight that is invaluable. He can tell us things about the heating systems that we wouldn't have known. He can tell us thing about roofs and attic that we wouldn't have know.
