- Cynthia listed, but didn't sell, my home
I engaged Cindy Ryan as my buying agent in 2016 and later reached out to her for representation when my wife and I decided to sell our house last year. Unfortunately, our experience with Cindy was incredibly disappointing and frustrating. While Cindy initially seemed proactive in getting the house ready for sale and upgrading it, she ultimately failed to deliver on her promises. Despite our expectations, Cindy was unable to sell the house for the price we were hoping for. In a desperate attempt to salvage the situation, she offered to stage the house while we were out of town. This decision proved to be a costly mistake. Upon our return, we discovered that much of the staging furniture Cindy sold us was in poor condition. Pieces were taped, glued together, and broken, despite appearing presentable in photos. For instance, a couch we purchased for $650 had a broken frame, causing it to slump as soon as someone sat on it. Furthermore, the contractors Cindy hired to assist with renovations were sloppy, resulting in thick, spilled paint and improperly mounted fixtures. To make matters worse, Cindy’s husband, John, was responsible for mounting the TV, which was done carelessly and damaged the drywall. We were dismayed to find multiple holes punched through the wall to run the TV’s electrical cord. As a result, we spent weeks redoing much of the work Cindy and her team had botched, turning our family vacation into an extended ordeal. Despite our efforts to address these issues with Cindy, she failed to respond to our concerns and attempts to seek reimbursement for the broken furniture and subpar services. Instead, she chose to ignore us, leaving us feeling disregarded and out of pocket. In conclusion, our experience with Cindy Ryan was deeply disappointing, and we caution others to beware of her unprofessionalism and lack of accountability. It’s regrettable that we were left to rectify the mistakes made by Cindy and her team, and we hope that sharing our story prevents others from enduring similar hardships.
