For several years following the turn of the century, Mandy Mills and David Getson worked independently and successfully as real estate agents in downtown Washington DC. And yet, something was missing. The independence was nice but there were times when they wanted to be part of something larger – or the business situation demanded it. In those instances they only worked harder to fill the gap but in the quiet moments they separately wondered what it was that was missing. And then they met. Soon they were talking shop all the time. It didn’t matter that they worked for rivalling companies - they spoke the same language and came to realize that they understood the same things about the DC market and how best to treat their clients.
