  • David helped me buy a home

If you are currently in a working relationship with him or will be, do think twice and get out earlier while he hasn’t done enough harm yet. As a first time home buyer I worked with him on buying house, which turned out an awful disaster experience. Look through the following facts, you will be able to judge and tell what kind of person he is. 1. David Marden bait me in with rebate. He promised he offers rebate 1% up to $2500 for buyers. After I signed house purchasing agreement and David confirmed his name was listed as my broker in the agreement, he started making things up and making excuses to refuse offer the rebate. On closing day he was still saying he will give me the rebate after he got the check. Ultimately he did not offer me the promised rebate after closing. 2. David Marden lied on commission. He claimed he did not get commission since I was buying a new construction, he was not earning commission from seller. He said he only got builder’s referral fee. I confirmed with the seller that David was lying to me. He did get commission from the seller. 3. In order to earn his commission from the mortgage company he works for, he provided me unprofessional and harmful suggestions. He asked me not to look for other mortgage companies but focus on the mortgage company he works for. Though I still made inquiry to other mortgage company. Then David started to hide the loan estimate from me. Making me unaware of any info until I sent him the loan estimate of competitor mortgage company. I asked him many times to send me the loan estimate so I can fairly compare the deals and make my best decision. However he kept hiding the loan estimate. Hoping to get the competitor’s offer from me first, so he can adjust the lender’s credit in minimum amount and he can earn the commission in maximum. He was not working in my interest at all. 4. Ghosting. He always doge question or ghost me. No responding. Only cherry pick questions he wants to answer. Even worse, he would reply you with a meme which make you feel very offensive and disrespectful. Working with an unethical person is truly a nightmare. I'm providing these facts hope nobody gets fooled by him anymore.
