David Prather

David Prather came to Durham to visit his daughter who was in a master's program at Duke and to play shows at the Blue Norte Grill and the Night Light Bar. He loved the area so much that he wound up moving here. He brings years of business and musical experience to his Durham home. In Austin, TX, he owned a design studio that served the design and architectural community for years. He was also very active in the vibrant music scene in Austin. He was voted "Best Band" two years running and "Third Best Guitarist" at the annual SXSW Chronicle Music Poll. In Durham, David works with the great team of Realtors at Elms Lane Realty Group. He still stays connected to the music scene hosting regular shows at the Open Eye Cafe in Carrboro to benefit the children's food bank TABLE. David loves the real estate business and community here in Durham and is anxious to work hard to make your home buying experience successful and fun!
