I had never thought about becoming a realtor, but I am a good listener and listened to both my brother and my childhood best friend when they both called me (unbeknownst to each other) within a couple of days of each other and told me that I would be a great realtor and that I should register for an upcoming real estate class. After telling my husband, whom I co-managed our 40-employee plumbing business with, I signed up for that real estate class and have been a full-time realtor ever since. That was in 2002 and I've haven't looked back. In our plumbing business, I developed systems and procedures, handled customer service and addressed customer concerns before they became big problems, basically a problem solver.
