Donna Cornell

As someone who has worked with several realtors though the years buying/selling properties, working with Donna Cornell has been nothing short of an absolute nightmare. She has been rude, selfish and full of bad faith through every single facet of the process. I was helping my girlfriend rent a home and seconds after we sent our deposit to Donna my girlfriend found out she would not be able to rent the home and immediately called Donna who refused to budge and did everything legally in her power to keep our deposit ($1700). I would advise against working with her at all costs.

Undoubtedly the worst experience I’ve had with a realtor. She was slightly unprofessional at the beginning, however I wanted the property so I chose to ignore those red flags and work with her anyways. Exactly 40 seconds after signing the lease and sending Donna a deposit for the property (multiple weeks before the lease was to start), I found out I had been accepted to a school in a different area and could no longer follow through with the lease. I called her immediately and explained my situation, however she acted exasperated and was inflexible. The next day, she responded to me only with vague legal language, threatened legal action, and refused to agree to return my deposit if another tenant could move in on or before my start date. After I helped her find a replacement tenant who couldn’t move in until 2 weeks into the lease, she calculated down to the cent how much of my deposit to keep. The only redeeming part of the experience was that she did what was legally required of her to find a new tenant. Beyond my poor experience with the deposit, I found her to be discourteous, unprofessional, and I am truly surprised that anyone with her attitude would choose this line of work. I would not recommend renting or purchasing with Donna, however if you do, make sure to proceed with caution and do not expect anything beyond bad service.
