Elaine has been an amazing agent and has worked hard for us. We will always recommend her to everyone we know! We will also be back in touch with her in the future when it is time to sell our house. She has been great to work with, a good friend to us, and she made a bad situation bearable. She has a rare honesty and integrity that is hard to find these days. Elaine told me what I needed to do to sell my home- painting, removing wallpaper, etc. The previous 3 agents didn't. She just laid it out and it worked! She always called me back and kept me up to date on any showings. I highly recommend her!

Elaine did a great job and sold my home in a couple months. The closing was completed in less then 30 days after the offer was received. I was living a few hours away from the home that was sold and she was a great help making sure the home was taken care of. I fired the previous agent after a year of nothing happening. When I hired Elaine she said "no problem, we will sell it in a few months", and she did. I couldn't be happier.

Elaine is an outstanding agent who goes above and beyond to meet the needs of her client. We thought it would be impossible to purchase a condominium long distance from California, but Elaine found the perfect property to meet our needs: we were looking for a second-story condominium in a safe, quiet, residential location with a short commute to USC yet close to amenities and with beautiful surroundings, and she found one for us within our budget! Elaine was extremely helpful and giving of her time: she dedicated her entire weekend to driving us around Columbia and looking for properties on our initial trip east to Columbia to research real estate. She was extremely knowledgeable about which locations were desirable and which locations were to be avoided: coming from California and knowing nothing about Columbia, without Elaines guidance we would have been lost. As it is, we couldnt be happier with the unit and the location of the unit we purchased. Buying a condominium from out of state, our sales transaction was not an easy one, and we went through multiple mortgage companies and multiple mortgage types. Elaine was patient, understanding, and encouraging throughout. She was extremely responsive to all our requests to Please email back ASAP, and she was extremely helpful in coordinating the required inspections (an impossibility for us to coordinate from California). As move-in neared, Elaine was also an invaluable resource for information regarding handymen, locksmiths, contractors, utilities, etc., and she even was willing to take delivery of our daughters car from the car transport driver when the car was unexpectedly delivered before our arrival! In short, Elaine has been a life saver. I cannot praise Elaine Gillespie enough! I would highly recommend her as a real estate agent to anyone seeking to buy or sell a property, and we will definitely be using Elaine as our realtor when it comes time for us to sell our condominium. I especially recommend Elaine to anyone who is relocating to Columbia from out of state: her knowledge, her responsiveness, her helpfulness, her understanding of your needs, and her sense of humor make what seems an impossible situation not just doable, but doable with a happy ending.

I would like to say before I met Elaine Gillespie I had had my house listed with another "prominent " agency here in Columbia. I was very un satisfied to say the least. It was basically kiss my butt to get the listing , stick their sign in my yard and putting it on the MLS and hope some one would buy it. I had to beg them almost to do a open house. I believe they had a open house, didn't bother to have a sign in book. so there was no way to follow up with any prospective buyers. Needless to say I didn't re list it with them. I had my house listed with that company for over 8 months. When it didn't sell..........this is what they said, " you have it priced to high " Hmm they set the price. So I was a bit skeptical about signing on another agency until I met Elaine Gillespie. She assured me with her background in marketing and advertising she could get the job done and by golly she did. Now I know Elaine is all new at this Real Estate thing.....but what sold me on her is this; She has Vision ! and better yet she knows how to convey that vision to a "Buyer" . She also is a excellent sales person. That to me says alot, as most " real estate sales people " today couldn't sell ice cream on a hot day. Elaine marketed my house, she had more than one open house, and she was more than engaged on making effort to sell my house. She always returned my phone calls within a few hours. Elaine was very sweet and determined to find the perfect place for me. She took my feedback on each place to make her searches more specific and was very aware of and helpful with my very limited budget. Due to a few factors (none relating to Elaine's work) I ended up putting in application at an apartment. However, if I want to look again at a later time, I'll definitely contact Elaine.
