Eric is a stellar agent and human, and working with him was not only easy but fun and that's rarely what you hear about when you are selling your house (and on a tight timeline with changing/challenging market conditions). When I started the process, I interviewed 2 'prominent' teams of folks local to Marin, but each of those firms asked me, without seeing my house, to invest upwards of $75K in home improvements. Moreover, I had to go through very generic sales pitches with folks who just wanted to get the deal versus truly helping me achieve my goal of selling my home.Thankfully Eric was my last interview (out of 3), and his approach was entirely different. We talked about the market, pricing strategies, approach, and offerings, and he'd also done his homework and knew about my house. I felt that he really knew the market and also grew up in Marin - but had the business and sales expertise and background needed to make this a success.Once we started working together, Eric was always available, on top of everything, and had resources for each step of the way inclusive of some minor work - which cost tens of thousands less than what other firms were attempting to sell me on. At the end of the day, I paid about $10K in work done and my house was purchased for $100K+ over the asking price. Eric was excellent at PR & marketing: getting folks in to see the house and property, networking where needed, etc - he knows how to market and sell, and that's exactly what you *need* when selling a home.I highly recommend Eric Schmitt, and will be working with him again when we buy!
