  • Ezzie listed and sold my home

Ezzie is obviously a strong advocate for her clients but what I am about to describe will probably come as a shock to a lot of you. I do not know why she has decided to act this way about the situation I am about to share but I feel it is only fair to tell this story and to warn you about letting her in your home or trusting her with your house’s well-being. In November of this past year, Ezzie brought a prospective buyer into my home. This client had challenging credit issues but nevertheless wanted to pursue purchasing the home. Ezzie drafted an offer with the regular terms and conditions you would expect. Even though her client had credit challenges, they gave a pre-approval letter from a local well known lending institution, Wells Fargo. Upon underwriting, her client was denied. Ezzie decided to pursue other means and talk to another local lending institution on her client’s behalf. So, she went to another local loan officer, this time a well-known institution with their own radio broadcasting show you see on this Facebook page, Security National Mortgage. Ezzie then sent me another approval letter from Security National. Many emails were sent to me confirming the credit worthiness of her client and my own listing agent made all efforts to ensure we were not wasting our time. Well, upon a second underwriting, which the new loan officer said they examined the client’s situation “very thoroughly,” the buyer’s application was again denied. This took a total of 30 days and my home was off the market the whole time. If this was not a disappointment in its own right, the following will show you how matters were made worse: As my job required me to move to a new location, I had moved out of my home. During the course of the 30 day approval process, the buyer and Ezzie went through my home with the standard inspection process. Upon one of their visits, her client decided to turn on almost every light in the house as well as the fire place when showing a friend around. Ezzie, in her own verbal admission received a call and went outside the house with her client left unattended inside. As the clients left a few minutes later, Ezzie neglected to go back into the house and turn off what they had left on. Instead, she got in her car and left. What happened?... For 10 days my home was left with almost all the lights on, AND A FIRE GOING! The only reason I learned of this, was a family member who offered to stop by the house and look it over since they were in the area. Imagine my shock when I learned of this. Imagine what went through my mind as the possible dangers that could have occurred and the bills that would be sent my way. So, I engaged my listing agent and asked if she could help me with this situation. Upon looking through the history of whom visited the house (which the lock box tells you) and asking Ezzie herself, it was clear that Ezzie made a simple but big mistake in not following up after her clients had left the house. She admitted this verbally and in writing that she neglected to follow up after her client. Once I learned that Ezzie was responsible, the only request I asked was to pay the associated bills that I would now be burdened with. Upon requesting this of Ezzie, she initially denied leaving anything on but knew she failed to follow up after her clients. She then agreed to pay the bills but only a few days’ worth. Forgetting that the bill was proportionally if not entirely higher during the 10 days she left everything on. Most importantly, she failed to fully apologize and failed to realize that bills and a few lights were one thing… But leaving a gas fire going in a home is a potentially dangerous event and that event could have led to absolute harm to the home and to others. In short… this could have been WAY WORSE! Finally, in an obvious state of anger and emotion, she refused to pay any remaining balance and as of the date you are reading this; has failed to correspond entirely by “blocking” all future communication from my agent. Obviously, I was not going to accept this. So, I informed Ezzie that if she did not own up to her responsibility I would be sharing this story. As a result, Ezzie has called me a “bully” and a “psycho” in writing even though I have never threatened her, other than to tell this story. Moreover, I have never called her or anyone else in her defense of this incident. The only threats and names that have been called are by Ezzie. So the result of this story and one I hope you remember is this: Ezzie Anderson not only wasted my time with not one but two approval letters from different lending agencies in order to perpetuate a low likelihood buying situation but also put my home and neighbors in danger by leaving a fire on. She failed to pay the bill for which she was responsible, apologize or realize the gravity of her mistake. She called me names and threatened to contact my employer because I am standing up for myself. So…Think twice about either accepting an offer from Ezzie Anderson or letting her in your home or you could be next.
