Gretchen Chingris

I just wanted to communicate my experience purchasing my first home through Weichert Realtors, specifically their agent Gretchen Chingris. I met her at an open house, and while I knew the specific property wasn't for me, I had found my realtor! Gretchen is passionate, knowledgeable, and has a great eye for design...qualities that really make a difference in a realtor! Throughout the process she couldn't have been more responsive or helpful in leading me to just the type of place I was looking for and then walking me through all the steps of buying it, including putting me in touch with the right contacts to assist with everything surrounding the process (mortgage broker, lawyer, etc). I couldn't imagine a smoother homebuying process (and done in under 2 months, no less!) I know not all buying experiences will fall into place a quickly as mine did, but starting with the right realtor makes all the difference!

"There isn't enough I could say about Gretchen in this review, but I will try my hardest. Being a first time home buyer was a scary trail to go down, but Gretchen was there with every step, making sure that all the i's were dotted and t's were crossed. Being a long term renter in the city of Boston, I had a sour taste in my mouth of non-existent real estate agents who provided no value; employed to turn a key and collect a fee. I genuinely thought I knew more than all real estate agents...until I met Gretchen. Gretchen couldn't have been more knowledgeable about the home buying process, the mortgage process, the inspection process...literally soup to nuts understanding of how everything works. And I mean everything i.e. difference in heating for the house; how the forced steam works; what are the problematic places to look for in a house of a certain age. I knew Gretchen was the right real estate agent when she started getting on her knees to check under the dishwasher to make sure it was hooked up properly. She loves her job and shes real good at it. If you are looking to buy a home, you must use Gretchen as our real estate agent. She fights for her clients and has mastered her skill. She is a true professional. I would like to say I will be using Gretchen in the future, but the house we bought together, I plan on staying for a very, very, very long time."

As a first time homeowner, the most important thing for me was working with somebody I could trust. Gretchen went from being a name on a listing to my partner in finding the best situation for me. After giving Gretchen a list of everything that was important to me, she came back with listings that matched well. From there, the process was quick and I found my home.So why 5 stars instead of 4? Because Gretchen was on call at any hour when I needed something. If we had a short window, she would come to me so that we can get things done. When things fell through the cracks, she made calls, emails, and in-person meetings to ensure completion to our standards.My first experience buying a home could have gone south several times. Thanks to Gretchen, it didn't, and I'm happy!
