Harris has a calm approach which made me want to work with him in the first place. Then when we really got started looking, he listened carefully to what I was after, helped me focus on my priorities in a broad and expensive market, and managed to get me a home I love with a very tight deadline. He has a great set of professionals that he recommends for title work and financing -- I liked them all. But, back to his calm -- when the deadline hit and things were still not certain -- Harris was able to talk me through the stress. He was right, of course, everything did work out!

Harris was an excellent realtor. Very timely with responses.There was little negotiaion because it was a short sale, but I will never know if I got the best deal. I was told by Harris & listing agent that I could close in 30 days with a full price offer, then offered full price (for a quick close), but closed in 60 days.I am not sure if Harris could of expedited it faster.I would recommend to friends and or family.

Harris was very prompt with any of my questions, answering calls, and making himself available to see houses. Toward the end of the process, he would do pre- visit driveby's to facilate the house selection process, appreciated given that I had started a new job while wrapping up my previous job.Rationale for ratings:"Local Knowledge" I was looking for homes that were well outside theBaltimore/DC area which seemed to be where most of his clients were looking. We looked at >45 homes spanning a fairly large area (Joppa to Harve de Grace). The count reflects the fact that several of the homes were not a good fit for what I wanted and discussed. The drive-bys mentioned above certainly helped improve the "hit rate.""Process Expertise" I gave him four stars but he is well on his way toward five stars. I was one of his earlier clients (he had sold 12 houses when I contracted him in February 2011). In our time together, there were elements of the process in which he was learning along with me. He is a quick study and it was evident that he integrated the new information along the way. I am confident that he will continue toward a strong mastery in this area with more experience. He knows the in's and out's of contracts, the details of what needs to happen if one is interested in foreclosures or short sales (I did not pursue either option when looking for ahome to buy), has a good instinct for what a house is worth, and recognizes the importance of having good inspectors in evaluating a home."Responsiveness" As described above, he was extremely responsive and willing to meet with me even at odd hours. Five stars for certain..."Negotiation skills" Four stars is a reflection of my intuition more so than my experience. The sellers we dealt with were either incredibly easy going or downright recalcitrant. I am not sure that there was an opportunity for his negotiation skills to come into play during our time together.He is friendly and I felt that he genuinely cared that I find what I wanted in a home.

Harris was wonderful to work with because he LISTENS to what you are looking for, and not looking for, in your home purchase. He also is good at pointing out pros and cons of various properties under consideration. He is not afraid to do research on possible issues regarding a property under consideration--he gets right on questions and gets right back to you.

Listened to our requirements and actually filtered and showed the properties accordingly. Excellent at picking up on what the wife and I were looking for and also has a good handle on pricing. Very professional and a pleasure to work with.

Harris is about the most responsive person you will find in the market. If you are looking for someone to stay on top of things for you he would be the right person for the job.

Harris was an outstanding agent!He never failed to respond to my inquiries. When he did not know the answer, he always endeavored to find the answer. As I was a long distance client who came into town every so often over a two-year period of time, he always made himself available to arrange showings that were of interest to me! His patience was admirable to say the least. I always felt that he had my best interests in mind when he could have just encouraged a purchase! I appreciated his honesty. Whereas I failed to see errors on the closing documents, Harris was detail oriented and brought the errors to my attention! In so doing, he saved me money! Excellent realtor was very patient and made himself available and easily accessible, even came to our house 45 min away after kids went to sleep so we could write an offer. We didn't have the biggest budget but had a lot of needs, Harris must have shown us at least 35 houses and never got frustrated or irritated (even though he knew we wouldn't like some of them before we went he humored us). We wrote multiple offers and in this buyers market there was competition especially for the ones we were going for being bargain hunters, but Harris knew how to handle it and even when we were ready to give up he was there to show us our last hope. Been in the home for six months now and though its been a lot of work ( which Harris and all his inspectors told us it would be) we love it got it at a great price and tons of seller help.
