We had been living near downtown Durham for 4 years when we decided (while on parental leave with a newborn) that we needed to sell our first home and find a larger home for our growing family of five and hopefully be able to accomplish all of that during my wife's maternity leave. Inna was invaluable in helping us decipher the legal aspects of the offer and walking us through the subsequent negotiations. She offered her insight but did not push. She was always available to answer any questions we had and did so promptly. Inna started working for us even before we hired her. Before she met us, she had already personally visited all the houses for sale in our area that were comparable, had talked with the agents and knew why houses were selling or not. She kept track of the market fluctuations on a daily basis, which helped us arrive at a realistic asking price. In addition, all through the process, she was available and reassuring and knew exactly how to move the process along. We received a full price offer three days after our house went on the market. She also staged our house, much of it with her own furniture. There was no additional charge for this or for any of the myriad of things, like having a photographer do a video of our house, which went on-line. She knows how to use the internet for maximum marketing but is still aware that a lot of selling a house is just hard work. I can't imagine anyone who would work harder for us than Inna. She is a terrific realtor and a great human being. I would recommend her to anyone who is planning to sell a house.

As a first time home buyer I can't recommend Inna Shapiro highly enough. Trained as a lawyer as well as a real estate agent, she is extremely knowledgeable about the process. She has a great eye for detail and what to look out for when buying a house. She's honest about the quality of the properties. She will work with you and make sure that you get the best deal for your money and for what you plan to purchase. On the personal side, she's extremely responsive to questions and is good at what I called "hand holding." Meaning that, as a first time home buyer, she was excellent at guiding me through the process and being there when I needed her or had simple questions. Finally, she is personable and friendly. Given all of these professional and personal qualities, again, I can't recommend her highly enough.
