- Jac listed, but didn't sell, my home
What started pleasant and felt as if every sale was important to him, quickly changed to minimal if not at times zero communication from his team and that our home was not a high enough priority to spare a moment to talk about. The following is only a small portion of what seemed constant issues. From an unapproved description being posted and the house going live with pictures and grammar corrections being to much a hassle, his words "this is getting ridiculous", to making us feel any request was a bridge to far with strategy on how our home would be marketed (I don't even know if it was on the Hernando County MLS where we live), to my wife being told that our entire personal lives with our children that we miss terribly, needs to be packed away, to me being the one to actually beg for open houses. I would be promised phone calls that would come hours later from the scheduled time. I asked what the issue was, he said he was with clients. I asked what am I? Or that Jac will call at X and that call never came. I asked through emails for information. My most concerning one, that his team disregarded, was why after a $26K price drop and agreeing to an open house from 11-1, it was never scheduled. I received an ominous message that said, we have to talk. I had found a moment between procedures being done that day to call to speak with him. I tried, he wasnt available. I called his associate and he said they are in a meeting and he would call at 130. Didn't happen. My wife didn't want time to be lost, so she asked him through text to simply respond to the email I sent early that morning, so I could read it when able. No response to the email, but he said he would call at 730 that night. No call. He called the next morning telling me that he doesn't believe he can make us happy no matter what he does and that we are at an impasse. I explained to him my views on the situation. My parents who live with us and spouse were listening to this call. They were shocked how retaliatory he was at me trying to say my piece that from the start everything felt it was on his terms only, no real working with us on the success of the sale. We felt hostage in a contract with zero results. We didn't expect miracles, but we do ask that a person does what they promise or state. If you live outside of the St Petersburg area, go local to your own benefit, so you're not made to feel inferior by the Jac Smith Group.
