I had lived in the same city in Missouri my whole life...actually only moved once, when I got married. We had visited Florida many times on vacation and I knew that some day I would live here. Our daughter lived here and we were tired of cold winters!! We contacted a real estate agent to start looking for houses. We spoke to her several times, telling her what we were interested in and what kind of price range we were able to work with. She was very condescending and rude. She told us that we would never be able to have anything like what we wanted in our price range and we would have to move to a very "low end" part of town. This isn't at all the experience we thought we would have, so we told her no thanks. We were in no hurry to move. Thought what we were looking for was going to be our retirement home. Well, our daughter then introduced us to Jeff Funk. Jeff was so nice, kind and considerate of our situation. We made a trip to Florida in March of 2009 to visit our daughter.Genny and Jeff collaborated together on what kind of house we would like to look at, made a list and house hunting we went!! I had very specific requests regarding what I wanted in my house. The most important one was that the kitchen had to be huge, have an island and have the "wow" factor. That way we didn't waste any time looking at houses that didn't meet that criteria. I think the house that we fell in love with was the third house that we looked at. We finished looking at the other houses that were picked out that day, but came back to our "dream house". I didn't even realize what my dream house would be until I saw this house. Then the fun began!!The house was a short sale. Jeff went through all the processes to get our offer to the right people. In the meantime, the owner of the house went into bankruptcy, so the house then was involved with that...we waited, Jeff persisted... We even looked at other houses through out the summer and made offers that fell through. Our dream house still sat empty completely mired in paperwork, foreclosure, the judicial system, bank people losing paperwork, etc. We waited... Jeff persisted... He worked tirelessy to jump through all the hoops that were put in front of him. Then, in September we got the call!! The house was ours.We had paperwork to go through, inspections and all of the wonderful things that go along with buying a house. During this time, I was dealing with the illness and death of my Mother. Jeff was so wonderful working with us while I worked through my situations in Missouri. We closed on the house in October and we couldn't wait for our dream house to be our retirement house. We moved Thanksgiving of that year!!! We will be forever grateful to Jeff for sticking with us during this whole process. My husband and I still look at each other with huge smiles because we can't believe we live here!

Jeff Funk is an exceptional realtor who goes above and beyond. Let me explain...Jeff was my parents realtor when they moved from New Jersey to Windermere, FL so when my husband and I decided to relocated to FL from Los Angeles, they highly recommended that we use him. Because we were doing our search from across the country, my mother was working with Jeff as well during our search. During that first two months we must have bombarded with what seemed like a million emails and calls and he always graciously and quickly answered each and every one. When we finally came to FL to look at some homes, we ended up finding our dream home. It was everything we wanted. Unfortunately, we found out that another offer had been put on the home and that the owner had accepted. We were heartbroken. But Jeff said he would figure it out for us and make it happen and sure enough he did. After he was up all night working on it for us, I got the text from him at midnight that we got the house. We couldn't be happier.Jeff's assistance to us didn't stop there. After living in the home for a few months our central A/C unit kicked the bucket. To make a long story short, the home warranty company only wanted to cover a small portion of it and they were giving us a VERY difficult time. Jeff called them everyday for us, fighting for us. This was extremely helpful as each call to the company had us on hold for over an hour. The company refused to pay the whole amount for our new A/C unit so we gave up and took the bit they gave us. Little did I know, Jeff continued to speak with them on our behalf, continuing to fight for us. He called me two weeks later to let me know that the warranty company had finally agreed to completely reimburse us.Now THAT is going above and beyond. I am proud to call Jeff my friend now and wouldn't think of going to anyone else next time I want to buy a house. He is hardworking, kind, has a beautiful family, and is an all around wonderful person. He doesn't only care about selling you a house. He cares that you're still happy once you're in it! Service provided by Jeff was par-excellence. After knowing what we wanted he homed in quickly to the potential houses we could like; it was more important to him that we got what we wanted rather than he just make a sale. He even warned us of certain aspects of the house we were looking at that could diminish its resale value. This characteristic of his has left a deep impression with us. His willingness to help out even after the sale was done (besides making sure that all paper-work was taken care of properly and correctly) is extra-ordinary. If we have to buy again we will only use his services
