Jen Mendenhall

I was referred to Jen through some friends, and it's clear why they love her so much. As a first time home buyer I was a bit nervous but Jen was so great! We met up for coffee and she walked me through a number of different steps to buying a house, which definitely helped me understand the process more thoroughly and feel less intimidated by it all. Afterward we talked a bit about the type of house I was looking for and we started the house search from there. What I really appreciated was how honest and no nonsense her assessments were of each house we visited. She pointed out all the issues/concerns she had for every house we walked into and the questions we would have to ask the seller if I were to consider purchasing the home. She was also really good at reading my face and asking questions about what I thought about the house. It was definitely helpful in allowing me to process through what I actually wanted/needed. About 4 months later we finally landed on a house, and that was probably what impressed me the most. I truly felt like Jen was my advocate. I had a specific price in mind for the house and Jen was able to negotiate down to that amount. She was also great at negotiating all the major repairs I wanted done on the house and even met with the contractor and pointed out all the repairs I wanted (so that he fully understood all the requests we made on paper) and even got him to make some repairs that weren't listed. I really feel like Jen went above and beyond what I could have imagined. Even now, we are still in touch and she is continually supportive and helping to answer whatever questions or concerns I have about the house and connecting me with helpful people and resources. Whenever I was talking to friends about the home buying process I would say "we" even though it really was just me. Because of Jen's unending support I really felt like I wasn't alone in this process, and I realize when I said we I was referring to her. I have been raving to my friends about how awesome she is and letting people know that if they need a realtor, I know a great one. Jen truly cares for all of her clients (she even recently hosted a client appreciation party - seriously, who else does that?). I'm so glad I get to be part of this community that calls her their realtor.

Jen Mendenhall is the best real estate agent I have heard of or worked with. We will recommend her to any friend or family member looking to sell or buy a home. She helped us with both. She helped us get our home ready for sale, and we found our buyers in TWO DAYS after the house was on the market. We needed to fix quite a few things in the house, and Jen always had a great recommendation for contractors and set up the appointments for us. She was always a text or phone call away during the entire process from listing our house to buying our new house. Jen is an expert negotiator, and handled everything with grace and assertiveness. Furthermore, she went beyond what we expected of a real estate agent by being there for every little detail.

Where do I even begin - we had such an amazing experience buying our first house with Jen! Even from our first meeting I know it was going to be a pleasant smooth experience! Jen walked us though everything step of the process as she wanted us to be educated buyers. She made herself very readily available and was constantly answering our questions. She was amazing in regards to giving recommendations for home inspections and has been equally amazing giving us names of contractors. I would choose Jen a million times! We were buying a house in MD while still living in NJ and it honestly would not have been possible without Jen's constant support!

We absolutely loved working with Jen. As first-time homebuyers, she helped guide us through the process and get the information we needed to make decisions. We never felt rushed or pressured and she had the answers to questions we didn't even know we had. She was extremely knowledgeable about all kinds of issues in older houses and was able to offer advice and recommendations for electrical, plumbing, and renovations. We were lucky enough to meet her at an open house and are so glad we decided to give her a call and work with her! She went above and beyond to help us get ready for our new home and we could not be happier with how things went.

I absolutely would (and already have!) recommend Jen to friends and family for their real estate needs. Jen helped us sell our first home (sold in 3 days) and buy our second within months. But most importantly, she was a trusted guide, knowledgable professional, and friendly voice along the way. She invested as much time as needed in every conversation, check in, meet up, etc., never rushing the process and always keeping in our best interests in mind. Jen is fun to work with and super nice, but when it comes time to negotiate with the other party, she is feirce (while fair), and an excellent, smart communicator and advocate for her clients. She helped us stage our home for a fast sale, and she is very knowledgeable when it comes to home systems, inspection results and follow up, and other pesky details that can make the process of buying a home overwhelming. It comes down to the fact that we trusted Jen from the first time we met her, and she rose to meet and exceed our expectations as we worked through the process. She never failed to follow up on a detail or question and was extremely proactive with seeking external inputs, getting things taken care of to avoid potential issues that could delay closing, etc. Thanks again, Jen!

Jen has been a gem to work with. She always met us with a smile. And to work with us she definately had to be very patient. And always professional. Jen is an agent that always had our best interests in mind. I can't imagine us ever needing another real estate agent as long as we live in Maryland.

Jen is a great communicator. She makes sure that I understood the relevance and the necessity of what it takes to successfully sell a house. Jen would answer all questions or find out the answer, she would pick up the phone so that I was speaking with a person most of the time! - very important to me, Jen also has a wealth of knowledge of the community, offers qualified locale service persons and offered more that one recommendation when needed. Jen is personable and professional. She definitely has my recommendation!
