  • Jesse listed and sold my home

Mr. Hoffman was rude and aggressive as he represented the seller. I strongly considered charging Mr. Hoffman with extortion when he repeatedly threatened to keep my $5,000 in earnest money. He did this while, as I was legally entitled, I obtained a home inspection and requested repairs to leaks in the roof, a chimney inspection & repair and other repairs. It wasn't until settlement that I voiced my complaint to the seller. The seller advised Mr. Hoffman was trying to move the settlement date along, because the gains from the sale of the Marvin Ave. home would be put towards the purchase of another home to be renovated and their time was running out. If it were not for my realtor, I would have charged Mr. Hoffman with extortion and have withdrawn my offer to purchase the home. Mr. Hoffman is a bully. He's lucky I didn't report him the Board of Realtors. He would have lost his license. He shouldn't be a realtor.
