- Jill listed and sold my home
Agent did not do her job. 1. She did zero marketing of the property outside of posting on Zillow, which is really about the minimum effort you can put in. 2. The exterior photographs taken of the property were very amateur looking... (looked horrible actually). 3. Agent did not show the property, I mean at all, zero, zilch, nada.. Not once did she personally show the property in the 6+ weeks it was listed. 4.) Agent maintained little to no communication, as was often out of town for a good amount of the 6 weeks the property was listed. 5.) She did nothing, again zero effort into building the value of the property. This, along with marketing, are two essential aspects of real estate sales. It’s not that she tried and failed, it’s that she did absolutely nothing.. 6.) Not only did she do zero marketing, zero showing, and exhibited zero skills in showing value in the home, she did quite the opposite, encouraging and concurring with the seller to drop the price of the home within days of being placed on the market and days after the initial drop... This is just an absolutely amateurish move to sell a house... Instead of encouraging dropping the price every 3 days, she ought to have given even the most minimal effort at actually doing her job. and the If she had done so, the property would have sold within an acceptable time and at or close to the original asking price which was competitively listed below comparable recently sold listings.. What Jill did was get a pair of retirees to sign into contract with her, and vacationed while other Realtors sparingly showed her property.. I understand how the process works, but seriously you can’t do anything to market the property? You couldn’t have at least faked an effort by pretending to show the house at least once to a friend or something? You couldn’t have provided strategic advice to those who hired you? The fraud in this relationship I had a front row seat to watch was just flat out blatant. And by the way... your for sale signs are absolutely attrocious looking.. But I digress As far as I’m concerned, this woman swindled a commission she did absolutely zero to earn. Good for her, taking advantage of two senior citizens who are great people and both two proud they had been had. Way to steal their future. If you are looking for a Realtor, steer way clear of this one. Do yourself a favor and find one that’s motivated and shows evidence that they are going to actually do what you hire them to do.
