However, the interaction I was receiving didn't feel right. Everything had been through email and the realtor hadn't even mentioned meeting in person. it all felt very Empty, so to speak. After some research, I found Joanne, and she was absolutely Fantastic to work with. She called almost immediately after I had emailed her and her very first words were asking when we could meet to get a feel for what I was looking for.She is VERY knowledgeable when it comes to VA loans and, her approach in Educating the future home owner was very refreshing and welcome. Any questions I had were answered immediately, and thoroughly. She was able to tell us about coding, what inspectors would be looking for, and Should be looking for, and little things in each house that could be a potential issue, possible updates, and general info. Questions about AC versus swamp coolers were readily answered.My girlfriend and I looked at houses in Southeast Reno, North/Northeast Reno, Sparks, Stead, and Cold Springs, and Joanne was able to tell us about the pros and cons of every single area. Not just about housing and schools but also questions we had about local foliage, trees, bugs, wildlife etc. She seemed to know just about everything about every area we were in. Joanne was a HUGE help when it came to looking for my home. Shes friendly, very informative, and extremely patient! She took the time to understand what it was I was looking for when it came to home buying. Each time a home didnt work out shed ask what my likes were and what my dislikes were. Being a first time homebuyer, I was unsure in the beginning but Joanne was super patient and slowly began directing me to homes that met my preferences. She never pushed me or rushed me for anything. I would not trust buying or selling my house from anyone other than Joanne. She is so professional and honest. My husband and I were thinking of selling our existing home to buy new. When we decided we were moving to Reno, Nevada, I did some internet research and found Joanne based on excellent reviews and comments on many sites. I contacted her and she was so responsive and immediately began doing research for us on housing based on our criteria and price range. She sent all the best listings and all new listings within our range given. I went up to Reno for 3 weeks to secure housing and set up our move. Joanne was ready and prepared and she took me to quite a number of existing homes and several new developments where she knew the quality of the builders. I was quite impressed with her skills and abilities and knowledge of Reno/Sparks, Nevada, real estate. I did not find any existing homes that were to our caliber of home, so, we ended up buying at Brier Ranch by Desert Wind Homes, a new development in lower Sparks that was fantastic. Joanne knew of the builder and this was her highest recommendation for new construction. She represented us at all stages of the buying process and will also be there for our final walk-throughs and closing in November of 2017! We love the builder and his building quality is above and beyond,,, and so is Joanne Tiernan as a real estate agent. I told Joanne that she is the best realtor I have had in my lifetime of buying and selling homes! I had a fantastic experience with Joanne. She did an amazing job of finding me properties, including lots of running around looking at potential houses, taking additional photos and finding out what the rental return is in the area I was looking. In addition, she negotiated hard to ensure I paid a fair price (and was successful!), she put me in touch with a great lending company and liaised with the title company, answering many of their questions. I first met Joanne after sending out my information to a few different real estate companies. I sat and talked with a few realtors and viewed many houses. Nothing was really what I had hoped for. Joanne reached out after I submitted my information to KW realty; there was an immediate difference. Joanne made it extremely convenient to meet up with as she was able to work around my schedule. Being a first time home buyer Joanne walked me through the whole process and what to look for. Further into the process Joanne assisted as the intermediary for the builder and the mortgage company, by expediting the paperwork and explaining various documents. She would run the documents though her program, which would allow me to sign and send the documents back immediately via email.She is extremely responsive in both text and email, and to this day (2 weeks) after close, is still answering various questions I have.Working with Joanne was very easy and informative. I recommend her to anyone on the market, you will not be disappointed

Joanne was our buyer's agent for our home purchase and I can't possibly recommend her enough. Not only is she unbelievably knowledgeable about the local real estate market, she has the rare quality of being extremely genuinely thoughtful on a personal basis. When the sellers forgot to leave the garage door openers, she got the make and model of the opener and got replacements for us.
