  • Joanne and I connected, but did no business

Horrible person to deal with and represents a subpar builder, Brian Gillespie (Rolling Lambert). My entire experience with them was a joke and a nightmare. Joanne had zero customer service skills and was very unprofessional on many levels! Back in May 2021, I found these brand new construction townhouses at a community called Park At Marshall located at a great location that listed with “closing starting July 1” so I reached out to them. It turned out that Joanne was the builder’s only sales agent for these new townhouses so we had to deal with her poor attitude. Should’ve known they were the wrong people try to do business with from the get go when they showed us NO renderings of what these townhouses will look like and what their quality was going to be. We were just sold on the location and how they will be brand new so we committed financially to a sales contract site unseen. We were initially given an August closing date, but then that initial date was postponed to a September date. When the September closing date came and went without closing while Joanne ghosted us. No sales extension addendum was given so we were out of contract legally. Confused and frustrated with her and the builder, my mortgage agent even reached out to Joanne because we needed further property closing info, Joanne treated her like crap when she did reply and was extremely unprofessional also. From July through September as these new units’ construction were coming together, we were finally able to see the quality of the build and its finishes interiorly. What a disappointment in so many areas. In my unit alone, I found multiple build mistakes, mold (already in the new build), subpar fixtures & finishes, and just CHEAP materials used throughout. Tired of seeing all of these cheap materials used, I wanted to upgrade all of the light fixtures and toilets at my own expense, but like to have the builder’s subcontractors to install them since none of those items were installed yet in my unit. I reached out to Joanne to let her builder know my wishes for these upgrades, but she did what she does best, she ignored me. My unit was the most expensive unit ($413K) out of the 17 new units (all less than $396K), you figured the builder and her would appreciate their highest paying client there, but nope, they both are NOT in the business of exceeding their sub-standard services or to make sure that their want-to-pay customers’ wishes should be priority. At the end, Brian was upset that I took upon myself to upgrade a bunch of stuff before closing, Joanne called and screamed at me over the phone…OK, enough is enough, listen, I am not spending $413K for cheap building materials and finishes and have the sales rep and a subpar builder scream at me. When they try to threaten me with “the builder would be happy to give you your money back and terminate the sale”, I jumped up and screamed in laughter like Ross on Friends and took that exiting opportunity! Buying a brand new construction property should be a fun and joyful occasion and experience, not with these people. I shouldn’t had expected that these two were professionals and believed Rolling Lambert (builder) will get me a quality townhouse. Thrilled that I didn't end up doing business with these two. Stay away as far as you can. I am in communication with the new owners to the other units that were recently closed and they all wished that they didn’t buy their units. Poor customer service, poor attitudes, poor build, and not worth the money and the headaches. Hope my review will help others.
