I have and will continue to recommended John Pestolazzi to anybody and everybody looking to buyer or sell a home. He is the best realtor I have ever met period. He is like having a realtor, lawyer and finance guy all in one. His knowledge of the market, the areas in Tampa and the laws, or rules or codes is amazing. Very organized, and gets the job done and gives you the best advice even if it means not getting the house.. He is there to help you find a home but he makes sure you are getting what you want and something that will not come back to haunt you or hurt you! Your lucky to have him!

When I took a new position with my company that required a relocation to Tampa I went to our relocation services and asked for an agent immediately since I was in FL when I accepted the offer. John made himself available to my wife and I for the next 2 days straight. He did a great job of listening to our wants and picking out 2 or 3 houses in a half-dozen different locations the first day. Based on our day 1 feedback we narrowed the search to 3 neighborhoods and looked at everything in our price range the 2nd day. We traveled back to Virginia the next day with a list of 3 houses that we could be happy with. We made our first offer the following day and over the next week and a half we worked through the inspection, WDO, etc. and completed associated negotiations. John helped to line us up with vendors to do the work, met them at the house, sent us pictures and documents along the way and basically was our feet on the street to get it all done while 900 miles away. I would highly recommend John to anyone purchasing a house in the Tampa area and would especially recommend him to people relocating from out of state. It was a great experience.

My wife and I purchased our first home through John in October 2012 and we could not have been more satisfied with the service that we received. John dealt with us in an exceptionally professional manner and really helped us through a process that was new to us where we really had to rely on his wealth of experience. I'm sure we weren't John's easiest clients, but he stuck with us as we completely changed the area of Tampa we were conducting our home search. It was impressive to see how familiar he was with so many different parts of the area and how he was able to earnestly and frankly discuss the benefits and drawbacks of all the areas we were considering. After a long process of trying to find a home in South Tampa we eventually settled on our current home in the Carrolwood area. We fell in love with the home, and were it not for John, we may never have closed the deal. He was able to masterfully help us see past our love for the home and to find the home's true value. We were able to make an offer substantially below the asking price that was accepted and right on the mark with the home's appraisal. I have no doubt that John saved us money in that regard. John was also instrumental in making sure our closing happened as scheduled despite a number of issues that were taking place with our lender and their internal processes. While certainly not his responsibility, John went above and beyond to insure that everything was taken care of to ensure that our closing wasn't jeopardized by things really outside of his control. Once again, if not for his determination in dealing with our lender, as well as keeping the sellers informed and comfortable, I am not sure we would have closed on our home. Overall, I could not have been more pleased with John's responsiveness and knowledge. Knowing that we had someone working for us that was always available and would have the right answer to any question we faced really took what could have been an extremely stressful process for a couple of first time home buyers and eliminated the mystery from the process to a point where we were comfortable that we were making the right decision for our family. When I started looking for my first home 5 yrs ago, I came across John as a listing agent on a property. I had worked with a couple realtors up to that point, and I'm sorry, they were IDIOTS! My mother knew more about real estate than these chumps, so we did research/searching the MLS ourselves. I live in New York and was looking to purchase a home in Tampa for getaways and eventual retirement. John was recommended by a friend of mine and as it turned out, he was an excellent choice. In my very first phone conversation with John, he added immediate value by telling me about portability and homesteading and how to save on my property taxes on the new home.
