We recently sold our home and property on Herron Island. We'd put it on the market a year earlier, but with little to no interest shown had removed it after 4 months. The difference in realtors was apparent from the get go. Karen used a pro-active, hands on approach from the beginning. It was on the market for a little over a week. Karen conducted herself as a true professional in every regard. She took a sincere interest in the property and our concerns, as if she was a family member. I cannot overstate what a true professional she is and what a credit she is to the industry. Many agents are knowledgeable, but very few go the the extra effort to ensure the all the many hurdles are looked after. She went the extra mile on every detail, and was much admired for this true caring attitude. She not only looked after our interests, but also extended a helping hand to the buyers to make this sale has happy for them as it was for us. We truly admire Karen and are so very grateful for all she did for us. We would highly recommend Karen to anyone interested in buying or selling property on Herron Island.

We recently decided that it was time to sell our lot on Herron Island, and were advised by more than one island resident that Karen Dornan was the realtor we should contact. We contacted her by phone and set up an appointment to meet on the property, and she came prepared with information about our lot, the septic system, how many bedrooms it was approved for if the buyer wanted to build, etc. We were impressed!!! We signed a contract, and the next day she had photos of our property and marketed it for a "buy to build" lot -- featuring all of the positives about the property and the island. Next, she hired a photographer with a drone, and posted those pictures to emphasize the spit, the sandbar and the clamming rights. She kept us informed of potential buyers, the next steps in the process once we had a bid, and shepherded us through the whole process!
