I am one of those rare “natives” of the Destin area. When I was a child, Destin was a quaint fishing village. In fact, my favorite memories are the times spent fishing with my parents. It has been amazing to watch Destin and South Walton grow into one of Florida’s most popular destinations. I treasure that I have been able to raise my daughters here where they have enjoyed the same childhood I experienced. The girls are grown now, and have blessed us with three grandchildren. Spending time with our grandchildren keeps us young. My husband Terry and I enjoy the benefits of living on the water in Destin. We spend our free time boating, fishing, jet skiing and walking along the Destin Harbor. - Karen helped me buy a home
While Karen recommended a good place where pets were welcome, she reported that the seller’s realtor refused to even present my first offer to her clients. I was also told that Florida laws were different and that home inspections were of a “let the buyer beware” nature. I moved in with a non-working water heater (burned element), a non-working dishwasher, and a non-working washer/dryer set. I was never informed that the apartment had suffered bathroom leak damage from the upstairs neighbors, either. I won’t use her again or recommend her to anyone I know.
