Karon Carpenter has lived in Fort Lauderdale since early adolescence when her parents moved from Texas. Avid boaters and scuba divers, the family bought a home on Royal Plaza Drive off Las Olas Boulevard, which Carpenter affectionately calls her "favorite street in the world. "After growing up in Fort Lauderdale, working in the healthcare field, and selling her own home healthcare company back in 1998, Karon wanted to do something different. Since she loves architecture and people, she decided to put the two together and go into the real estate field.
