Kate is amazing. This was our second property working with Kate, and I'm already excited about the next one. After going over to her house to discuss options about investing in a multi-unit property, she began sending me property reports. Mind you, this was after only 5 months of being in the condo we bought with her help. Needless to say, we didn't think we'd move as quickly as we did on another property. But when our property in Portage Park popped up in my report, I immediately sent it to her and we went into power-buyer-mode. We went and saw the property within 5 days of it being on the market, immediately put an offer in, and got it under contract. With her help and the help of all of her contacts that we used on the last property as well (attorney, inspector, mortgage broker), we were able to get the deal done! Kate was exemplary in her role as realtor for my transaction. I had to sell property in the Chicago area remotely and was not going to be able to be on-site to manage the process, including the preparation for sale and the repairs identified during the inspection. Kate, along with her partner Michael, took care of EVERYTHING! She presented ideas for preparation to help the property sell quicker, while ensuring the added "costs" would yield a reasonable return. She and Michael represented me in overseeing the prep work to ensure it was completed in an exemplary manner. The property looked excellent by the time it was put on the market; and we received an attractable offer in LESS THAN TWO WEEKS (industry average at the time was 90 days). The inspection identified a handful of items to address, two of which turned out to be relatively significant. Kate worked with me to find qualified, quality contractors to address the items in a timely, reasonable priced manner... all in time for closing (which was about 4 weeks from offer acceptance). I couldn't be more pleased; I only had to go on-site once during the transaction. Kate kept me informed during the entire process and was very responsive when I had a request.
